What We Do

  • Cleaning kitchen, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, dishes, laundry, decluttering

  • food preparation, premaking meals, encouragement to eat healthy foods, we will assist in this area in whatever we may be helpful.

  • Reducing clutter and assisting with organization of items. Cleaning/organizing storage areas, assisting to create a healthy/safe living space.

  • Assistance setting phone alarms, encouraging clients to take medications as prescribed and on time, phone calls if needed

  • Pharmacy, grocery store, doctors appointments, general errands as needed

  • Skyline staff can transport clients to doctors appointments as needed, if the family is not available to do so.

  • Sometimes the best thing we can do is to be present and just listen.

  • We can assist in communicating with medical providers as well as understanding/interpreting doctors, PT and OT recommendations. We are also experienced in navigating the healthcare system and are very familiar with local resources.

  • Encourage clients to eat healthy foods, follow doctors/nutritionists instructions and provide basic diabetes education.

  • Ideas and strategies to manage and reduce stress.

  • We will help bring families together if needed. Discussions on how to best serve our clients and allow families to be involved at an appropriate level.

  • Assisting the client in creating Care Goals that are tailored for each individual.

  • Basic introduction to the concepts of mindfulness and engaging in the present moment.

  • We can transport and/or attend these events with clients.

  • We are open to discuss anything that we can do to be helpful and assist our clients in accomplishing their goals. Our staff is experienced in so many areas of human service and we are always welcome to discuss how we can help.

Being a good Companion

We are willing to do nearly any task that can aid an individual in remaining independent.

We cannot do tasks that are considered “skilled-nursing,” such as wound care, administering medications or lifting clients that cannot bear weight. If these tasks are needed, we will be sure to communicate this need with the client and/or loved ones.

How We Do Business

It is our goal to provide Premium Companion Services at a competitive price for everyone that we serve. Individuals are not just paying for Companion Care, but they are also paying for someone who can guide them moving forward !

All fees are Private-Pay, we do not bill Medicare or private insurance. We are happy to work with your Long-Term Care Insurance company to help with your reimbursement.
